After so many days spent studying, debating and creating together at the European Institute of Design, we realized that we shared the same vision: interior design as a conduit for beauty, functionality, understanding, and innovation. During an intense day spent at Milan’s Salone del Mobile, we decided to embark on a new adventure and bring our design studio to life.
Design approach
Our philosophy is to always start with people: we genuinely listen to their needs and wishes, which we then transform into tangible projects. Our work is steeped in our passion for beauty and harmony; respect for the environment; attention to detail; and authenticity, which we combine with efficiency and functionality. These elements allow us to express our clients’ personalities, and design spaces that welcome them.
Thanks to our network of –and collaborations with– other professionals, we provide complete and synergetic responses to every design need, be they residential or commercial in nature.
JENNY PISTARÀ
I originally studied Architecture, but my career path initially led me into the world of retail for several years.
Nevertheless, I never stopped nurturing my true passion: designing spaces and shaping interiors. While I kept working on small private design projects, I felt the need to put my creativity back at the forefront of my professional life.
That’s when I decided to take on a new challenge and enroll at the European Institute of Design to specialize in Interior Design.
This is where my journey with 16Design Studio began: from my desire to create spaces that tell the story of the people who live in them.
I also draw daily inspiration from my personal hobbies: traveling, which allows me to discover new places and cultures; and freehand drawing and pencil portraiture, which taught me how to capture the details and unique qualities of people—just as I do with spaces.
FRANCESCO ULIANO
I worked in the retail sector for over 20 years, which is how I learned to shape spaces that inspire and engage customers. I refined my approach to combine aesthetics, functionality, efficiency, and cost-awareness. I developed superior attention to detail as a Visual Merchandiser and honed my strategic vision as an Interior Manager in charge of Southern Europe for a major international fashion retailer.
Despite many accomplishments, I felt the need for a change in perspective. Thus, I shifted my focus from clothing to spaces, from the body to the environment.
That’s why I chose to expand my craft into residential design and enroll at the European Institute of Design, refocusing the expertise I had gained in the retail business to found 16Design Studio.
Today I design environments that are not just beautiful: they are places that welcome, inspire, and tell the story of those who live in them. Every space has a soul, and it is my job to bring it to the fore.
In my free time, you’ll find me cooking up a storm in the kitchen; visiting contemporary art exhibitions; caring for my plants; and binge-watching TV series. I believe that interior design, just like life, is made of passion.

We assist you in space planning with technical and executive drawings; help you visualize the project through renderings; accompany you during showroom selections; oversee the artistic direction; and ensure that every detail is executed exactly as planned. Step by step, we create unique, functional, and character-filled environments where you can truly see yourself every day.
Restyling of individual environments and custom-made furniture
A consultation aimed at refreshing the style of a room with colors; wallpaper; furnishings; and accessories, without structural or building services alterations.
Corporate consulting
We design bespoke furnishings; offices; showrooms; commercial spaces; and exposition stands aimed at bringing the story and values of your business to the fore. We start with your brand’s DNA to develop creative and functional concepts that showcase your brand identity so as to strengthen your message to your customers. We transform any space in an authentic and engaging experience.
Online consulting
Our online consultation service guides you through transforming your spaces. We offer advice on colors; furnishings; and personalized solutions, wherever you are with no need to travel. Upon request, we also provide supporting materials such as moodboards, renderings, and references for selected furniture pieces.
